FODMAP st\u00e5r for Fermenterbare Oligo-, Di-, Monosaccharider og (And) Polyoler &#8211; en gruppe af kulhydrater og sukkeralkoholer, der hos nogle mennesker kan v\u00e6re sv\u00e6re at optage i tarmene, hvilket kan f\u00f8re til oppustethed, mavesmerter og \u00e6ndret aff\u00f8ringm\u00f8nster.<\/p><p>Low FODMAP di\u00e6ten indeb\u00e6rer, at man reducerer (Low) indtagelsen af f\u00f8devarer, der er h\u00f8je i \u201dFODMAP\u201ds og i stedet v\u00e6lge f\u00f8devarer med lavt \u201dFODMAP\u201d indhold. Teorien er, at et lavere indhold af \u201dFODMAP\u201ds i kosten vil reducere fermentering og gasproduktion i tarmene, hvilket kan lindre symptomerne for nogle personer med IBS.<\/p><p>Eksempler p\u00e5 f\u00f8devarer med h\u00f8jt FODMAP-indhold, som normalt skal undg\u00e5s p\u00e5 en Low FODMAP di\u00e6t:<\/p><ul><li>Frugter: \u00c6bler, p\u00e6rer, vandmelon, mango, kirseb\u00e6r m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Gr\u00f8ntsager: L\u00f8g, hvidl\u00f8g, broccoli, k\u00e5l, asparges m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>M\u00e6lk og mejeriprodukter: M\u00e6lk, almindelig yoghurt, is m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>B\u00e6lgfrugter: B\u00f8nner, linser, kik\u00e6rter m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Sukkeralkoholer: Sorbitol, mannitol, xylitol m.fl.<\/li><\/ul><p>Eksempler p\u00e5 f\u00f8devarer med lavt FODMAP-indhold, som normalt er tilladt p\u00e5 en Low FODMAP di\u00e6t:<\/p><ul><li>Frugter: Bananer, appelsiner, jordb\u00e6r, bl\u00e5b\u00e6r m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Gr\u00f8ntsager: Guler\u00f8dder, tomat, spinat, gr\u00e6skar m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>M\u00e6lk og mejeriprodukter: Laktosefri m\u00e6lk, laktosefri yoghurt m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>B\u00e6lgfrugter: Kogte kik\u00e6rter (i begr\u00e6nsede m\u00e6ngder) m.fl.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Sukkeralkoholer: Glukose, maltose, sukrose m.fl.<\/li><\/ul><p>Det er vigtigt at bem\u00e6rke, at Low FODMAP di\u00e6ten ikke er en permanent di\u00e6t, men en midlertidig \u201deliminationsdi\u00e6t\u201d, der normalt gennemf\u00f8res under vejledning af en di\u00e6tist. Efter en periode p\u00e5 typisk 6 uger med Low FODMAP di\u00e6t, introducerer man gradvist FODMAP holdige f\u00f8devarer igen for at identificere de f\u00f8devarer man reagerer p\u00e5 (f\u00e5r IBS gener af). Herefter kan man s\u00e5 fastl\u00e6gge en mere afbalanceret og varieret di\u00e6t for fremtiden.<\/p><p>Unders\u00f8gelser viser at ca. 25% af dem, der f\u00f8lger en Low FODMAP di\u00e6t i 6 uger, vil opleve en afklaring omkring, hvilke f\u00f8devarer de skal holde sig fra for at undg\u00e5 IBS gener.
